Education is often defined as the discipline concerning teaching and learning in school-like environments - this is mostly true, however, also outdated.
Maintaining this mentality can view education as a directional and transactional process from one mind to another, yet it is much more fluid and fruitful than that.

Defining
Aims, Goals, Objectives
Education for what? - Breaking this down into smaller bites helps ourselves understand what it is we want to teach and learn.
Aims: This can be viewed as the target outcome and achievement. It helps frame the overall direction and goal of the organization.
Goals: Translates aims into stepping-stones. They should be accessible and achievable for a diverse population, allowing the understanding of the core ideals.
Objectives: Refers to the most practical stage of educating. This ranges from an overall education plan, to the material used (i.e., books, videos, posters, campaigns, announcements).

The Science of Teaching
In the past, there have been assumptions about the existence of universal patterns and procedures to teaching. In short - no matter the topic, everyone learns the same way. However, we all know this is not true.
To master the ‘science of teaching’, we must consider and understand two main factors; firstly, the core message we are trying to convey, and secondly, the audience we are conveying it to.
One size does not fit all, and therefore having an adaptive and inclusive methodology allows information and knowledge to be absorbed and shared more easily.
